<p><strong>General Instructions:</strong><br />
1. Balmer Lawrie, a public sector company under the Ministry of Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas, is a professionally managed, multi-location, diversified conglomerate having presence in manufacturing as well as services sectors, with a consistent track record of growth and profitability.</p>
<p>2.  The Company operates in various business segments through Strategic Business Units [SBUs] and Joint Venture Companies [JVCs]. It is the market leader in Industrial Greases &amp; Specialty Lubricants, Steel Barrel, Corporate Travel and Logistics Services. The Company also has significant presence in most of the other businesses it operates in, namely, Refinery &amp; Oil Field Services [ROFS], Leather / Performance Chemicals, Logistics Infrastructure, etc.</p>
<p>3. Balmer Lawrie set up its first unit at Sewree in Mumbai in 1934 and another one in Kolkata in 1937 for manufacturing our own brand of lubricants. ISRO offers the position of Scientist/Engineer `SC’ in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs.5400 to the to young engineering graduates in the following specialized fields :-</p>
<p><strong>Scientist/Engineer SC – Electronics (Code : BE001)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Scientist/Engineer SC – Mechanical (Code : BE002)</strong></p>
<p>Eligibility: BE/B.Tech in First Class or equivalent with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters for which results are available). Candidates who are slated to complete the BE/B.Tech course in the academic year 2011-12 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree is available by 31/8/2012.</p>
<p>Age Limit: 35 years as on 28/02/2012 (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates, Ex-serviceman and Persons with Disabilities[PWD] are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders).</p>

The future ISRO programme envisages development of cutting edge technologies for reusable launch vehicle, development of advanced technologies for Human Spaceflight Programme, advanced high efficiency semi-cryogenic propulsion system, advanced communication satellite, air breathing propulsion, satellite based navigation system, high resolution imaging sensors, and inter planetary missions.</p>

<p>12. Upon remittance of the application fee, one copy of the challan form will be retained by State Bank [Bank copy] and remaining two parts will be given to the candidate. <p>13. The remaining one copy of challan form [Applicant copy] shall be retained by the candidate for future reference. The payment shall be made through cash deposit only. Payment of Application Fee in any other form like cash, cheque, draft, money order, IPO, etc. are not allowed.</p>
<p>14. Women; Scheduled Castes (SC); Scheduled Tribes (ST); Ex-serviceman [EX] and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee. <p>16. Women Candidate – Gender certificate issued by the Principal of the College where last studied or Attested copy of PAN Card/Voter’s ID Card/College ID Card/Passport/Driving License/Ration Card. SC/ST candidates – Attested copy of Caste Certificate Persons with disabilities(PWD) – Attested copy of Medical Certificate indicating extent of disability issued by Medical Board</p>
<p>17. Ex-Servicemen – Attested copy of Discharge Certificate Applications, in respect of which the above certificates are not received alongwith a copy of the registration confirmation form [ISRO copy] on or before 07.03.2012 will not be considered for further processing under any circumstances.</p>
<p>18. Those candidates who are already employed under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies have to send a `No Objection Certificate’ from the employer concerned, duly indicating their Registration Number and Post Code to Sr. Administrative Officer (ICRB), ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore -560 231 within 7 days of filing of application and in any case not later than 07.03.2012.</p>
<p>19. The candidate should have First Class with minimum 65% marks in the Qualifying Degree ie, BE/B.Tech or equivalent for submission of application on line. Please note that this qualification prescribed is the MINIMUM requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for written test. Based on the academic performance and bio-data, initial screening will be conducted to short-list candidates for taking-up written test.</p>
<p>20. The written test will be conducted on 21.04.2012(Saturday) at thirteen venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dispur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. However, the Organisation reserves the right to cancel/change the written test venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre.</p>
<p>21. The call letters for the written test to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail during the first week of April 2012. Based on the performance of the candidates in the Written Test, candidates will be short-listed for interview. The schedule and venue of the interview will be notified separately to the shortlisted candidates only.</p>
<p>22. Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in the pay band of 15600-39100 with grade pay of 5400/-. The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be approximately Rs. 33,180/-p.m. In addition, House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid for those who are not availing Departmental Housing and Transport facility, respectively.</p>
<p>23. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle set up under the administrative control of Ministry of Railways to undertake planning &amp; development, mobilization of financial resources and construction, maintenance and operation of the Dedicated Freight Corridors. DFCCIL was incorporated in October 2006 under Indian Companies Act 1956. The company has been granted the highest Corporate Credit Rating of ‘AAA’ rating by CRISIL and ‘LAAA(SO) (pronounced L triple A (Structured Obligation) Credit Opinion by ICRA. The plan to construct dedicated freight corridors across the country marks a strategic inflexion point in the history of Indian Railways that has essentially run mixed traffic across its network. Once completed, the dedicated freight corridors will enable Indian Railways to improve its customer orientation and meet market needs more effectively. Creation of rail infrastructure on such a scale – unprecedented in independent India – is also expected to drive the establishment of industrial corridors and logistic parks along its alignment. In the first phase, DFCCIL will be constructing two corridors – the Western DFC and Eastern DFC- spanning a total length of about 3300 route km. The Eastern Corridor, starting from Ludhiana in Punjab will pass through the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and terminate at Dankuni in West Bengal. The Western Corridor will traverse the distance from Dadri to Mumbai, passing through the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Indian Railways’ quadrilateral linking the four metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Howrah, commonly known as the Golden Quadrilateral and its two diagonals (Delhi-Chennai and Mumbai-Howrah), adding up to a total route length of 10,122 km carries more than 55% of revenue earning freight traffic of IR. The existing trunk routes of Howrah-Delhi on the Eastern Corridor and Mumbai-Delhi on the Western Corridor are highly saturated with line capacity utilization varying between 115% and 150%. The rapid growth of Indian economy in the last few years has created demand for additional capacity of rail freight transportation, and this is likely to grow further in the future. This burgeoning demand led to the conception of the dedicated freight corridors along the Eastern and Western Routes. Hon’ble Minister for Railways, made this historic announcement on the floor of the House in the Parliament while presenting the Railway Budget for 2005-06. In April 2005, the Project was discussed at the Japan-India Summit Meeting. It was included in the declaration of co-operation signed between the Hon’ble Prime Ministers of India and Japan for a feasibility study and possible funding of the dedicated rail freight corridors by Japanese Government. The feasibility study report was submitted to Ministry of Railways in October 2007. In the meanwhile, Ministry of Railways initiated action to establish a Special Purpose Vehicle for construction, operation and maintenance of the dedicated freight corridors. <p><strong>General Instructions:</strong><br />
1. Applications will be received on-line only. Those applying for more than one post should send separate applications for each post. The application for on-line registration will be hosted in the ISRO web-site between 06.02.2012 and 27.02.2012. Candidates may visit our website at www.isro.gov.in to register their applications on-line between 06.02.2012 and 27.02.2012. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.</p>
<p>2. The on-line application has to be invariably followed-up with a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer concerned, by those already in employment under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body or any organisation which is aided by Government, duly indicating the opening for which applied/post No. and Regn. No. on the reverse.</p>
<p>3. There will be an Application Fee of. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for each application (each post) Demand Draft details need to be filled-in at the time of on-line registration. Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempt from the payment of Application Fee subject to the conditions stipulated below.</p>
<p>4. The candidate before filing his/her application has to take a DD for Rs.100/- from any of the Nationalized Bank in favour of the Accounts Officer, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore The applicant should enter the DD Number, date and name of the Bank in the space provided for the same in the web application. <p>9. GMRT is located around 80km north to pune at khodad. Nearby town is Narayangoan which is ~15 Km from GMRT site. The area around GMRT has many good places for hiking or for bicycling, as there are lots of Sahyadri ranges nearby.</p>

<p>12. We are looking for highly motivated students with a consistently good academic record. While we strongly encourage students from engineering backgrounds to apply for INAT-2011, we emphasize that we are looking for students who are interested in carrying out doctoral research in Physics or Astronomy and Astrophysics. We hence expect prospective candidates to have a good understanding of basic physics.</p>
<p>13. Based on the applications and referee assessments, a subset of the candidates will be short-listed and invited to take the written test, to be held in Pune on January 5, 2012. Candidates with more than 55% in the qualifying examination may walk-in for the written test by producing a valid photo identification.</p>
<p>14. The test will be of TWO hours duration. The question paper will have two parts, A and B. Part A will contain twenty objective-type questions on basic Mathematics, Physics and Electronics. Part B will contain another twenty questions from advanced Physics, Mathematics and electronics/engineering. For each question, candidates will have to choose from four answers, one of which will be correct.</p>
<p>15. Outstation candidates will be paid one and one-third times the train/bus fare by second-class sleeper (NOT air-conditioned) from their place of residence (as given in the INAT-2011 Application Form) to Pune and back by the shortest route, as well as a halting allowance (as per the prevailing rules) for each day of stay for the interviews.</p>

<p><strong>General Instructions:</strong><br />
1.Photograph must be a recent passport-size coloured picture. The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.  Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.  If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.</p>
<p>2. If you have to use flash, ensure there is no “red-eye”.  If you wear glasses, make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.  Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.  Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb.</p>
<p>3. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than 50 KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours, etc., during the process of scanning. The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen. Signature must be signed only by the applicant himself/ herself and not by any other person.</p>
<p>4. Signature will be used to put on the Permission Letter/ Hall Ticket. and wherever necessary.  If the Applicant’s signature on the answer sheet, taken at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Permission Letter/ Hall Ticket, the applicant will be disqualified.  Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb.</p>
